peaks island

Peaks Island was a great day trip. We departed from Portland and had a day full of adventure and sightseeing. Definitely a plus having a nice sunny day to take it all in.

portland

Spent a few days here and had a blast! A lot to do for everyone. Great food and drink scene as well as coffee. Also, enjoy a movie in the park!

otto pizza

-portland

Great little spot referred to us by many locals and lead by reviews. Loved the concept and option of being able to take advantage of the fast casual side as opposed to their sit down dine-in side. Pizza by the slice for the win!

ben & bills chocolate emporium

- bar harbor

Lobster is obviously a destination food for this region. Never thought it would generate enough demand to have it put into ice cream… but why not?! Both tried it, and surprisingly as disgusting as it sounds had a semi-buttery delicious flavor to it. Glad we tried it? Yes. Would we get a whole scoop? Nope.

acadia national park

An action packed NP! We spent several days with no downtime and still didn’t manage to do it all. Obviously, like most NPs, forecast accordingly to avoid crowds to make it more enjoyable. The scooter tallied a lot of miles throughout this visit!

bush compound

- kennebunkport

Great drive along the coast. Beautiful scenery with some pullouts that offer views of the Bush Compound. Brought our binoculars and did some creeping from afar. Be sure to drive throughout the surrounding neighborhood to awe at some of the spectacular homes.

strand theatre

- rockland

A random treat and pastime we picked up along the way on the road was utilizing our MoviePass subscription. These small historic theaters made it well worth the small investment. Theather was located right downtown in the historic DT Rockland district.

criterion theatre

- bar harbor

Just a cool oldschool theatre with limited screenings. Took advantage of a rainy day to take in a flick.

beehive trail & precipice trail

- acadia np

This has been one of the more enjoyable/challenging hikes we have taken thus far. It definitely surpassed expectations and provided all aspects of a hike that we enjoy (challenging, strenuous, wildlife, views, and scenery)

Maine beer co.

- freeport

Worth a pit stop off the beaten path. Great beer with even better customer service. Looks like there’s big things in store for the future, as there was a lot of extensive construction! Be sure to check out their calendar to see if you can make it for one of their limited releases!

salvage bbq

- portland

Who doesn’t love BBQ and who doesn’t love Bingo?! This place has it all! Parking in the back, cheap beer, and free bingo on select days. Good time and food was delicious.

cherrystones

-bar harbor

Got sucked in by their Happy Hour special. Located in the heart of bar harbor on Main St. Great patio seating outside with a lively vibe and great service. Went the local route with our selection and got the Lobster Flatbread and Local brewed Blueberry Beer – both were solid choices.
